E stand for education
In this part of the site I will write articles explaining many different aspects of sewing and the ins and outs of the basic tools, materials, how to lay out patterns, pattern adjustments made easy, how to save on fabric when cutting out, etc.
Examples of what I mean are:
- Fabrics, how to identify, care, washing instructions and best usage.
- Needles, what are the best sewing and hand needles for the job.
- Definitions of sewing terms (translated so you get them)
- Pattern definitions (translated so you can use patterns more affectedly)
- Sewing machine maintenance
- Why iron (cause when done right it saves time and effort)
- Why use interfacing?
- Stuffing?? Many different and effective things to use for stuffing pillows, stuffed animals etc.
- How to make darts lay right easily.
- Using different stretch fabrics, the how to’s
